What are men interested, in when it comes to women? To an extent it remains a mystery. Will likely continue to do so. However that hasn't stopped scientists from attempting to unravel the enigma of attraction.
On one hand each man has his preferences. Qualities and traits that appeal to one man may not be seen as attractive by another.
Nevertheless research has discovered a factor among men; they often rely on their initial impressions. These first moments greatly influence their level of attraction towards women.
Of course there are women who effortlessly make a first impression while others may need to put in a bit more effort.
Here are five qualities that research suggests men find attractive, in women;
1. A looking makeup style, including eye makeup and lipstick.
Some men claim they prefer women without any makeup as it gives off an appearance. However based on a survey conducted by the online dating site Zoosk with 1,200 women sporting eye makeup in their profile photos 139 of them were more likely to receive messages from men.
Men also tend to show interest, in meeting a woman when she is wearing lipstick in her profile picture.
However it seems that women who opt for darker makeup shades may receive invitations, for dates. So even if men claim to prefer a look it means that women can still wear makeup that appears natural and attract men.
Moreover gentlemen there's no harm in acknowledging that your significant other looks stunning with winged eyeliner and red lipstick.
2. The desired waist to hip ratio.
This preference is less about attractiveness and more about health and fertility.
According to the article there is evidence suggesting that the waist to hip ratio strongly correlates with a womans estrogen levels, her risk of obesity and her susceptibility to major diseases like diabetes ovarian cancer and heart disease.
3. The impact of wearing clothing.
Red is often associated with passion. It's not surprising that men find it alluring. In a study conducted by psychologists from the University of Rochester participants were shown photos of women framed in either white borders and asked to rate their attractiveness.
They were shown the photos but with the women wearing either red or blue clothing and were asked how much money they would be willing to spend on a date, with each woman.
Women who are dressed in red or surrounded by red are often perceived as alluring and appealing leading men to be more inclined to spend money on a date, with them.
4. Having a demeanor can make a difference.
According to a study conducted by the Society, for Personality and Social Psychology it was discovered that women who were responsive, to mens desires and requirements appeared appealing to them.
5. A higher-pitched voice.
Research has indicated that women often perceive men with voices as appealing. Conversely men generally find pitched voices to be attractive because they associate them with qualities, like fertility, femininity and a smaller physical stature.
